Orion Power Group offers large consumers of electricity and natural gas such as commercial property owners and operators, retail establishments, hotels and schools a valuable energy supply consultation program. Orion Power Group continually studies several available electricity and natural gas supply alternatives in deregulated markets throughout the United States to help find the best energy supply deals for our customers at any given moment. We have several products we can recommend, such as a contract which features an all-inclusive fixed price per kWh, (electricity), for a term up to five years. That particular type of product available from a number of competitive power providers enables effective and reliable budgeting for customers. As a result of these and other energy supply contracts we have recommended and helped negotiate across the United States, our customers have seen substantial savings - between 5% and 30% of the market supply portion of the total energy costs.

Savings

We only recommend our energy supply solutions to our customers if we are convinced that the contracts will assure meaningful savings or protection from the risks associated with future spikes in energy costs. Every Orion Power Group consultant goes through the exercise of putting him or herself in the customer's shoes to evaluate if the suggested energy supply solution is truly the best we know of, and if we are sure that the customer will benefit. Orion Power Group's business is built on a stable base of very satisfied customers, and we strive to add new customers only if we are sure to build long-lasting relationships with them by providing products and services that our customers will appreciate over the long term. One way we do this is by carefully shopping the market to be sure that our preferred solution is the best and lowest-priced available.

Reliability

NO service interruptions are experienced by our customers by virtue of signing a contract with a competitive electricity or natural gas supplier alone. The electricity or natural gas supply contract is purely a financial instrument. This contract does not replace your current utility company's distribution network, their obligation to deliver energy to your meter, their obligation to be the provider of last resort, or their obligation to perform service calls and repairs, so the service switch to one of Orion Power Group's solutions is seamless.

Flexibility

Unlike many electricity supply contracts offered by several competitive suppliers in deregulated markets throughout the United States, Orion Power Group solutions offer consumer-friendly terms designed to maximize savings and eliminate risk. Flexibility in power usage characteristics is one key way we help our customers accomplish this. We have seen several contracts which impose severe penalties on consumers if the consumers use more than 110% or less than 90% of the power used in previous periods. This could be disaster for a hotel or commercial office building, which could experience big swings in occupancy from one period to the next, leading to big changes in the amount of power consumed. Orion Power Group never recommends energy supply contracts featuring such "bandwidth" penalties. Other ways Orion Power Group electricity supply solutions provide maximum flexibility are negotiable contract term and the possibility for the customer to terminate an electricity supply contract without penalty if their property is sold, or in the case of fee-managed properties, if the management contract is lost.
